Gene Expression Analysis from Single Cell and Small Starting Materials

Epistem is able to conduct gene expression analysis from single cells and very small tissue samples. Our amplification technique offers a highly sensitive method for mRNA expression profiling. The technique uses proprietary components to amplify cDNA prepared from small amounts of purified RNA. The resulting amplified cDNA provides an accurate copy of the profile of the starting mRNA.

For analysis of single or small numbers of cells, it is vital that sample acquisition and purification are compatible with RNA analysis. Epistem will provide scientific input to guide clients in single cell studies to ensure optimal profiling.

Assessments we can conduct

1. Microarray Assessments:

• Custom Arrays containing multiple probe sets for all specified genes or pathways of interest
• Optional inclusion of the entire human, mouse or rat genome

2. qPCR analysis:

• Any specified genes or pathways of interest
• Each primer set designed and QC'ed by Epistem

3. Information from our proprietary PathwayDirect™ database containing extensive information on samples analysed by Epistem.
