Partners in biomarkers for drug development

Epistem's Biomarker Division specialises in providing gene expression information to drug development and diagnostic programs. Our proprietary gene expression platform, GenetRx™ can be used to identify and develop novel biomarkers from preclinical and clinical samples. We are also able to provide extensive gene expression information for our proprietary database, PathwayDirect™. The PathwayDirect™ database contains gene expression information that we have compiled from healthy normal volunteer samples and our own data from clinical and preclinical studies. Epistem is also able to offering GCLP accredited gene expression testing services.

Our innovative technology is used by clinicians and drug discovery scientists to study target engagement, pharmacodynamic and biological effect of a drug and to establish dose scheduling and escalation, drug effect, mechanism of action and patient response. These discoveries provide information on patient specific drug-induced gene expression changes known as 'translational biomarkers' which can be used to monitor drug effect, screening and treatment monitoring.

In addition to our service offerings we also sell our RNA-Amp™ product range which enables researchers to amplify cDNA from very small starting amounts of RNA (starting materials as small as a single cell (10 pg).
